Peter Obi maintains lead ahead of Tinubu and Atiku in new Bloomberg poll

Some 2,384 polls from Nigerians conducted by Premise Data Corp for Bloomberg News in San Francisco, from 26th January to 4th February, via a smartphone app, were released today, Friday, 10th February 2023.

Submissions were selected from quotas developed by age, gender, and location across the country’s six geopolitical zones. This result saw two-thirds of respondents intending to vote for Obi, ahead of Tinubu and Atiku.

Obi in the poll, emerged as respondents’ preferred choice polling 66 per cent of the votes, with Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar getting 18 and 10 per cent respectively, taking into consideration just the three ‘main’ personalities.

This Bloomberg result corroborated a September 2022 NOI poll which placed Obi as the leading candidate with 21 per cent of the votes, as well as several polls conducted for the leading presidential candidates, with Obi leading most.

Against this recent Bloomberg poll by Premise Data Corp, Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar had gotten a tie in second place with 13 per cent in the NOI poll, as Rabiu Kwankwaso came behind at the fourth position with three per cent.
